Basics of Your Day Store is a grocery store located in Warren, Manitoba in the Rural Municipality of Woodlands and has been operating since 1999. Heather Boyd is the sole-proprietor of this business and employs eight people (full and part time).

Heather‘s convenience store offers an array of goods and services — groceries, movies, magazines, gift cards, stamps, photo finishing, deli items, baked goods and coffee bar.
The Grey Goose bus and courier stop there as well.

From the very start of her business it has grown exponentially. Her sales have doubled and then doubled again. The community is very lucky and happy to finally have a full-service grocery store in their town.

Community Futures West Interlake#8217;s role in this business was to provide technical assistance by way of a business plan, a loan for start-up costs to run the grocery store and on-going support.

Boyd operates very long hours in her business and is constantly expanding to meet the needs of the community. Her motto to successfully run a business is to go above and beyond the call of duty to make customers happy – and she does.
